Code injection in Apache Ambari 2.7.0 through 2.7.7 allows remote authenticated users with Cluster Operator access to gain root. Apache has not identified the affected request handler or disclosed how attacker-controlled request data reaches executable code. Exploitation requires Cluster Operator privileges and yields root access on the cluster's main host, enabling complete host compromise.
