Authenticated command execution via HTTP parameters
Published Nov 13, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
OS command injection in Hanwha Vision A-, Q-, and PNM-series cameras allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The camera web service passes a manipulated HTTP parameter into command execution without neutralizing command syntax. Valid camera web-admin credentials are required; successful requests can install malware or configure a persistent backdoor.
