Unchecked return handling in QNAP QTS 5.1.x and QuTS hero h5.1.x allows local users with administrator access to crash the system. QNAP has not disclosed the affected function or the return value that is ignored, stating only that the unchecked result can leave the system in an unintended state. Administrator access on the NAS is required, and the documented consequence is a crash or other unintended system behavior.
