Sensitive information disclosure via generated error messages

Published Oct 23, 2024 · Updated Oct 24, 2024

Information disclosure in HCL Sametime 12.0.2 and earlier allows local users to read sensitive data from generated error messages. The vendor identifies the locus only as generated error messages and has not disclosed which component produces them or what input causes them. Exploitation requires user interaction in a local context; the disclosed data supports a more focused follow-on attack, with no reported direct modification or service interruption.
