Unauthenticated file read via path traversal
Published Dec 15, 2023 · Updated Oct 7, 2024
Path traversal in Bazarr before 1.3.1 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through the Swagger UI static endpoint. The swaggerui_static route joins an unvalidated filename to the Flask-RESTX static directory and passes it to send_file without confining the resolved path. No authentication or user interaction is required; exposed files can be read, but the flaw does not write data or interrupt service.
