CVE-2023-50243Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unbounded comment copy

Published Jul 8, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in Realtek rtl819x Jungle SDK 3.4.11 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via HTTP requests. The boa formIpQoS handler copies the unbounded comment parameter into the entry.entry_name member of a stack variable with strcpy. Reaching the copy requires an authenticated administrator to prime the CSRF-protected page and submit enabled QoS settings; exploitation can crash boa or execute arbitrary code on affected WBR-6013 routers.
