Deserialization of untrusted data in Inductive Automation Ignition 8.1.0 through 8.1.34 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. ExtendedDocumentCodec accepts attacker-controlled serialized Java objects without validating their types before reconstruction. Access requires privileged Gateway connectivity, and successful exploitation runs arbitrary code as SYSTEM on the Gateway host.
