Authenticated file write via unvalidated activepath
Published Sep 17, 2023 · Updated Jun 18, 2025
Absolute path traversal in DedeCMS 5.7.100 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write uploaded files outside the template path. The select_templets_post.php endpoint concatenates attacker-controlled activepath into a destination passed to move_uploaded_file without path confinement. Low-privileged access and an allowed text or template extension are required; resulting writes are limited by the web-service account's filesystem permissions.
