Root code execution via flupl command injection
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
OS command injection in D-Link G416 firmware 1.08b02 and earlier allows remote attackers on the LAN to execute arbitrary code as root. The flupl query_type edit handling in the TCP port 80 HTTP service uses an unvalidated user-supplied string to execute a system call. No authentication is required, but the attacker must reach the router from the adjacent LAN; successful exploitation fully compromises the device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
