CVE-2023-50167Network attack vector

Stored script execution via unneutralized user HTML

Published Mar 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Stored XSS in Pega Platform 7.1.7 through 23.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via edited user HTML. The editing and rendering path stores user-supplied HTML and emits it into a page without neutralizing executable content; Pega has not disclosed a narrower code locus. Low-privileged access is required to save the content, and a different user must render it, exposing that user's browser session to script-driven data access or actions.
