Stored script execution via unneutralized site content
Published Dec 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in JFinalCMS 5.0.0 site management allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The site-management interface stores attacker-supplied HTML and later renders its img event handler without neutralizing executable markup. Exploitation requires low-privileged access to submit the payload and a separate user to view the affected management page, exposing or altering data available to that browser session.
