CVE-2023-50121Public exploit

Flight-control loss via unchecked no-fly-zone return point

Published Jan 6, 2024 · Updated Apr 17, 2025

Denial of service in Autel EVO NANO flight control firmware 1.6.5 allows physically proximate attackers to immobilize an airborne drone. The no-fly-zone logic accepts a return point inside a restricted zone without checking it, then traps the aircraft at the boundary. Triggering requires controller and Autel Sky access, flight near a no-fly-zone edge, and a restricted return point; the drone can only rotate or descend.
