Authenticated code execution via unescaped backup table name
Published Dec 28, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Code injection in ZZCMS 2023 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP through the database-backup workflow. The backup module's phonebak.php copies the unescaped tablename parameter into generated PHP content and permits that content to be saved as config.php. Administrative access to the backup interface is required; successful exploitation installs a web shell with the web server's privileges.
