Stored script execution via unescaped edited content
Published Dec 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in JFinalCMS 5.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The content editing workflow stores attacker-supplied HTML and returns it to the editing page without neutralizing event-handler markup. Exploitation requires low-privilege access to save content and another user to open it for editing, exposing that user's browser-session data or actions.
