Authenticated browser script execution via stored carousel payload
Published Dec 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in JFinalcms 5.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The carousel image editor stores a crafted HTML image payload containing an event handler and later renders it without neutralization. Exploitation requires carousel-editing access and a user to view the stored content, enabling script execution within that user's browser session.
