Reflected XSS via unencoded hidden input attribute
Published Jan 3, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
Reflected XSS in APIIDA API Gateway Manager for Broadcom Layer7 2023.2 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted URL. The login page copies requestBeforeLogin into a hidden input value without encoding quotation marks, allowing injected accesskey and onclick attributes to enter the rendered element. A victim must open the attacker-supplied URL and press the chosen access-key combination, which runs script in the victim's browser context and enables page data access or modification.
