Service interruption via oversized mesh devices field
Published Dec 7, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
A stack overflow in Tenda W30E firmware 16.01.0.12(4843) allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted HTTP request. The formUpgradeMeshOnline handler processes a 1,280-character devices value in JSON posted to /goform/module and overruns a stack buffer. The published request includes a session cookie, although NVD assesses no privileges or user interaction; the disclosure does not distinguish a crash, reboot, or hang.
