Command execution via unsanitized USB partition name
Published Dec 7, 2023 · Updated Nov 26, 2024
Command injection in Tenda W30E 16.01.0.12(4843) allows remote attackers to execute operating-system commands via a crafted HTTP request. The setUmountUSBPartition handler inserts usbPartitionName into a shell command string without neutralizing shell metacharacters, permitting command substitution. The published request includes a session cookie, so public evidence does not establish whether the handler enforces authentication; exploitation grants shell-level command execution.
