Floating-point exception in eSpeak NG 1.52-dev allows local users to crash speech synthesis by supplying a crafted input file. PeaksToHarmspect in wavegen.c divides during harmonic-spectrum generation after Wavegen can leave pitch uninitialized; the resulting zero divisor raises the exception. The affected local command or a consuming application must process the file, and the demonstrated consequence is termination of the synthesis process.
