Sensitive file disclosure via browsable application directories
Published Mar 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Directory listing in SourceCodester School Fees Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read sensitive files without authentication. Requests to /ci_fms/database/, /ci_fms/uploads/, /ci_fms/assets/, and /ci_fms/assets/backend/ return browsable directory contents instead of denying access. Any network client that can reach these paths can enumerate and retrieve exposed application files; no account or user interaction is required.
