CVE-2023-49958Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Transaction record manipulation via duplicate StartTransaction properties

Published Dec 7, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024

Improper input validation in Dalmann OCPP.Core 1.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter transaction records via OCPP messages. The StartTransaction handler accepts arbitrary properties and processes and stores the last value when a property such as connectorId is duplicated. The documented attack requires network access to the OCPP endpoint and no privileges or user interaction; the reported consequence is limited to transaction-record integrity.
