Subscriber-level code execution via PHP shortcode
Published Sep 16, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Code injection in Hit Reach Allow PHP in Posts and Pages 3.0.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The php shortcode interprets its body as server-side PHP without restricting execution to trusted roles. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied PHP in the WordPress server context and can fully compromise the site.
