Authenticated code execution via unbounded action copy
Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Stack overflow in TP-Link EAP225 5.1.0 Build 20220926 and EAP115 5.0.4 Build 20220216 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The EAP115 httpd handler for /data/scheduler.association.json copies an action value into a four-byte stack buffer without checking its length. Administrative web access is required, and a malformed POST can corrupt the root-running service stack and take control of code execution.
