Authenticated code execution via unbounded profile copy
Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in TP-Link EAP225 and EAP115 Radio Scheduling allows remote authenticated users to execute code via HTTP. The httpd handler passes each newline-delimited profile value to strcpy_until, which copies it into a 32-byte stack buffer without checking input length. Access to the authenticated web interface is required; a crafted request can corrupt the stack and execute code with the access point's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
