Data manipulation in the MER facility of IBM Financial Transaction Manager for SWIFT Services 3.2.4 allows remote attackers to alter FIN messages. The facility treats each FIN message's sending address and message type as immutable while still accepting changes to both transaction elements. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient, and IBM does not disclose the specific request or validation path that reaches the flaw.
