Authenticated code execution via unbounded MAC filtering
Published Jul 8, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Stack overflow in Realtek rtl819x Jungle SDK 3.4.11 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through the boa WPS interface. formWsc copies every hexadecimal character from targetAPMac into a 20-byte stack buffer without checking the destination length. Administrative access and enabled WPS are required; a crafted request can seize control of execution or crash boa.
