Authenticated script execution via unescaped log filters
Published Sep 15, 2023 · Updated Sep 20, 2024
DOM-based cross-site scripting in LibreNMS before 23.9.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. Eventlog and syslog views place filter parameters into JavaScript string values using addcslashes, which fails to neutralize markup and script-context input. An authenticated user must supply a crafted filter value and induce another user to load the affected log view, enabling actions and data access within that browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
