Internal resource access and XSS via open proxy
Published Mar 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 19, 2024
Server-side request forgery and reflected XSS in NextChat 2.11.2 and earlier allow remote attackers to access internal HTTP resources. The /api/cors route accepts an attacker-selected destination and method, forwards the request without authentication or destination restrictions, and returns the response; it also fetches data URLs and reflects their decoded HTML. Any network client that can reach a server deployment can read or modify reachable internal services, proxy Internet traffic, or execute reflected script in a browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
