CVE-2023-4977Network attack vector

Authenticated JavaScript execution via unescaped search inputs

Published Sep 15, 2023 · Updated Sep 20, 2024

Code injection in LibreNMS before 23.9.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through crafted IPv4 search inputs. The IPv4 search template embeds the interface and address POST fields directly into single-quoted JavaScript values without HTML encoding. A logged-in user must submit crafted search input; execution remains in the rendered browser context and enables access to or modification of page data.
