Browser script execution via crafted filter parameters
Published Sep 15, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Academy LMS 6.2 on Windows allows remote attackers to execute script through crafted filter requests. The GET parameter handler at /academy/tutor/filter processes searched_word and three array-valued search parameters without neutralizing script-capable input during page generation. NVD treats the request as unauthenticated while the CNA requires low privileges; both assessments require another user to open it.
