Administrator command execution via IPsec configuration parsing
Published Dec 12, 2023 · Updated Aug 13, 2024
OS command injection in Siemens industrial router firmware before 7.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute root commands. The IPsec configuration parser passes insufficiently neutralized special elements into an operating-system command after a new connection is established. Administrative privileges and a newly established connection are required, and successful exploitation grants system-level command execution.
