OS command injection in Siemens industrial routers before 8.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The DDNS configuration handler passes insufficiently neutralized configuration elements into an operating-system command after a successful IP address update. Administrative privileges and a completed IP address update are required, after which injected commands can compromise the device.
