Stored script execution via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Oct 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in WPLP Legal Pages 2.9.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through shortcode attributes. The wplegalpages_page_shortcode handler processes user-controlled attributes without sufficient sanitization and returns legal-page content without adequate output escaping. Author-level access is required to plant the payload, which executes in a visitor's browser whenever the injected page is opened.
