Secret extraction and SSRF via unsafe XML parsing
Published Nov 29, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
XXE in Jenkins MATLAB Plugin 2.11.0 and earlier allows attackers to extract controller secrets or perform SSRF through crafted XML. Form-validation endpoints parse an XML file in a user-specified MATLAB directory without disabling external entity resolution. Attackers must first create the crafted file on the controller; successful parsing reads local data or causes controller-originated requests.
