CVE-2023-49655Network attack vector

Controller-local XML parsing via forged GET requests

Published Nov 29, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Cross-site request forgery in Jenkins MATLAB Plugin 2.11.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to make Jenkins parse controller-local XML. Several form-validation HTTP endpoints accept GET requests without enforcing POST, so a victim's browser can submit a chosen MATLAB directory and trigger the controller's XML parser. Exploitation requires user interaction and a path to an XML file already on the controller; secret extraction or SSRF additionally requires the separately tracked XXE flaw.
