Credential disclosure via context-free credentials lookup
Published Nov 29, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Credential exposure in Jenkins Jira Plugin 3.11 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to capture system-scoped credentials. The job-configuration credential selector performs lookup without the configured item's context, exposing system-only entries outside global configuration. Item/Configure permission is required, and successful abuse discloses credentials unavailable in the item's proper context.
