Cloud information disclosure via underprivileged HTTP endpoints
Published Nov 29, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Missing authorization in Google Compute Engine Plugin 4.550.vb_327fca_3db_11 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read project data. Multiple HTTP endpoints accept global Item/Configure permission instead of requiring Overall/Administer, exposing system-scoped credential IDs and accepting attacker-chosen credential IDs for Google Cloud queries. Exploitation requires global Item/Configure permission, and the bounded result is credential-ID enumeration or disclosure of existing cloud projects.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
No public exploit references are available in this record.
