Browser script execution via pre-element event handlers
Published Dec 26, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in pre-element event handlers in GROWI before 6.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in a visitor's browser. Rendered pre elements retain attacker-supplied event-handler attributes, which the browser interprets as executable JavaScript. A low-privileged user must store crafted content and another user must open the affected page, exposing data and page actions in that user's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
