Stored XSS via unsanitized SMTP settings
Published May 24, 2024 · Updated May 21, 2025
Stored XSS in DiskPulse, VX Search, and SyncBreeze Enterprise allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a user's browser. The /setup_smtp endpoint stores smtp_server, smtp_user, smtp_password, and smtp_email_address values without neutralizing script content. Exploitation requires a user to load the affected page; the affected releases are DiskPulse and SyncBreeze 10.4.18 and VX Search 10.2.14.
