Unauthenticated API access via crafted HTTP header
Published Sep 18, 2025 · Updated Sep 18, 2025
Authentication bypass in Nokia CBIS 22 and NCS 22.12 allows remote attackers to access restricted Manager API functions. The Nginx Podman container's authentication implementation weakly verifies a specially crafted HTTP header and accepts the request without valid credentials. Access to the management network is required, after which restricted or sensitive API endpoints become reachable.
