Administrator configuration changes via framed config editor
Published Nov 7, 2023 · Updated Nov 7, 2025
Clickjacking in Red Hat Quay 3 allows remote attackers to induce administrators to reconfigure an instance through the config-editor page. The page can render inside attacker-controlled transparent or opaque layers, so clicks intended for decoy controls activate administrative controls underneath. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator with an active browser session to visit and interact with the crafted page; resulting changes are limited to options exposed by the panel.
