Authenticated SQL command execution via lastname field
Published Mar 4, 2024 · Updated Aug 8, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Customer Support System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to issue SQL commands through the lastname field. The save_user action in /customer_support/ajax.php passes the submitted lastname value into a MySQL query without neutralizing SQL syntax. A valid application session and access to Manage Account are required; the demonstrated payload delays the database response, confirming control of query execution.
