Stored script execution via unencoded category name
Published Mar 1, 2024 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Book Store Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via a category name. The category update endpoint accepts a crafted category_name POST value and subsequently renders the saved value without neutralizing its HTML and script content. Administrative category-management access and victim interaction with the affected page are required; execution is confined to the victim's browser context.
