Browser script execution via APP_HOST cookie reflection
Published Dec 19, 2023 · Updated May 7, 2025
Reflected XSS in KodExplorer 4.51 allows remote attackers to execute browser-side script through a crafted APP_HOST cookie value. The configuration path accepts APP_HOST from the cookie, and the English localization page reflects the value into HTML without encoding it. A victim must load the attacker-influenced request; the script runs in that victim's browser origin and can read or alter data accessible to the session.
