Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Sep 14, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Booster for WooCommerce 7.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through shortcode attributes. Multiple general-shortcode handlers place user-supplied attributes into generated page markup without sufficient sanitization and context-appropriate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, which executes in a visitor's browser when the affected page is viewed.
