Navigation deletion via cross-origin form submission
Published Dec 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in JFinalCMS 5.0.0 allows remote attackers to delete navigation entries through an administrator's browser. The /admin/nav/delete endpoint accepts a cross-origin POST containing only a navigation-entry identifier and performs the deletion under the browser's existing session without verifying request origin or intent. An administrator must be signed in and induced to load attacker-controlled content; the demonstrated consequence is deletion of the selected navigation entry.
