Unauthorized access via reusable verification code
Published Dec 8, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper restriction of authentication attempts in DoraCMS 2.1.8 allows remote attackers to gain application access via password brute force. The backend login accepts the same verification code across repeated password failures instead of invalidating it after each attempt. No existing account is required, but successful access depends on guessing a valid account password while replaying one accepted verification code.
