Unauthenticated command execution via telnet route handler
Published Dec 7, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
OS command injection in Tenda AX3 firmware 16.03.12.11 allows remote attackers to execute commands through /goform/telnet. The route handler processes an HTTP request in a shell-metacharacter context and returns a shell when the crafted request is sent. Network access is sufficient because authentication and user interaction are not required, and successful exploitation yields shell command execution.
