Category deletion via forged cross-site POST
Published Dec 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in JFinalCMS 5.0.0 allows remote attackers to delete categories through a crafted cross-site POST request. The /admin/category/delete handler accepts a POST containing only an id value and performs the deletion without a per-request anti-CSRF value. Successful exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to load attacker-controlled content, and the demonstrated consequence is category deletion.
