Administrative data modification via forged update request
Published Dec 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in JFinalCMS 5.0.0 allows remote attackers to modify custom-table data through /admin/div/update. The endpoint accepts a cross-site POST containing id and name fields without an anti-CSRF value and applies the update under the victim's session. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to load attacker-controlled HTML; the demonstrated consequence is modification of a custom-table entry.
